Many of the components we use in our line are vintage and have never been used, but were warehoused for many years. Some things have even been oxidized to the point of complete color alteration (rust!). All these components have been restored back to health, as we like to think of it. But they will never look brand spanking new. That is not what VR Jewelry is meant to be. There may to be color variations on our pieces. That's the vintage "feel" of our jewelry, because it's really vintage or even antique- which is older than vintage. It's actually designed that way. We go to great lengths to be something other than just another totally mass produced line of low-quality disposable stuff destined for the -you know it!- landfill!. Our jewelry is made to last a lifetime.
Here are some tips for taking care of it so to does last that long and NEVER, ever hits the landfill.
- Don't sleep or shower in your jewelry... After all, it's vintage costume jewelry. Would your grandmother treat her trinkets that way? Nope, not if they are still around...
- Keep your things in a closed jewelry box. Granny probably had it stored away in a jewelry box, and that's the stuff that lasted. Put it away in a safe place after you wear it!

That's our commitment to keeping your things in tip top condition, so that you can one day give it away to your grandkids.
We take that with the territory, since this stuff is old. We just want your things to last and for you to be happy with them. Keeping stuff away from the danger of being thrown out is the name of our game. So take care of your things! We're here to help if you need us!
